The Experience:

This is a unique opportunity to dive with sharks without the safety of a cage! Our experienced team ensure your safety at all times whilst you enjoy the freedom of seeing the sharks in their own environment doing what they do best: inspiring awe, respect and wonder at their grace and agility

The Dive:

The baited dives are conducted south of Aliwal Shoal Reef where there is no interference with the regular reef dives. The water is "scented" with anchovy oil to attract the sharks and a bait drum is lowered into the water at about 6-8m. Once sufficient activity is noted, the "Tiger DM" (a DM with experience of a minimum of 30 shark dives) checks the area and invites the divers in.The dives are shallow, around 5-8m and can last much longer than a normal dive simply because time flies when we're having fun!

Diver Requirements:

Due to the nature of the dive, all divers need to be Advanced Open Water (or equivalent) or have a significant number of logged dives. Neutral buoyancy is crucial to ensure the group stays together to get the most out of the experience.

We recommend bright shiny objects should not be worn on the dive, eg, jewellery or watches.

Booking Requirements:

Booking in advance is essential as these dives are organised only on request.

Our Cancellation Policy:

Due to the extensive preparation necessary for this dive we ask for 48hrs notice should you need to cancel your dive. We will cancel the dive at our own discretion should the visibility be poor and diver safety is at risk.
